This game was well pitched and well played from start to finish. With the score tied 2-2 in the 8th inning, A's Johnny Ruiz came through with a bases loaded 2 RBI hit (view video of the hit here - A's Willy Mizrahi recorded the win in relief.
West Kendall Nationals      10

The returning champs West Kendall Nationals once again earned the victory with excellent pitching and the long ball (3 homeruns - click here for Anthony Rodriguez homerun - After The Nationals raced out to a 10-1 lead in the 6th inning, The Bats came storming back with 5 runs over the next 2 innings. The Bats even had the tying run at the plate in the final inning, but Nationals Manager Yusbell Ortega made a nice catch on a line drive off the bat of Bats Manager Alex Tirado to preserve the win. This game featured big offensive output from both teams. Ultimately, the Diamondbacks blew a late 4 run lead and the Sea Dogs earned the walk off win. Diamondbacks Melvin Cartagena had 3 hits, while Nick Geary and Maikel Reyes had 2 hits apiece. Manager Jay Habacht had a 2 RBI hit with bases loaded (click here to watch - The Diamondbacks had 13 hits. For The Sea Dogs, Janfer Fernandez and Joe Feller each had 2 hits. The Diamondbacks walked 6 batters, had 4 wild pitches that scored runs, and hit 2 batters.

Team Venezuela led early, but The Devil Dogs fought back and tied the game 4-4 in the 7th inning. Team Venezuela tacked on 5 runs late to win the game.
South Florida Pirates        8

The Pirates overwhelmed The Tigers with excellent pitching and great defense. The Pirates were able to put up runs early and cruised to victory. The Tigers were shorthanded and struggled in all aspects of the game due to the missing players. Look for The Tigers to regroup next game, as the roster will get back to normal. Pirates pitchers Michael Rudman (manager) and Kenny Tyson combined for the win, striking out 16 Tigers players. Click here to view Kenny Tyson strike out 3 players -

South Florida Sox     7
Cutler bay Rockies   1

This game was tight for the 1st 4 innings with no runs scoring until the 5th inning. The Rockies defensive miscues led to several Sox runs and ultimately a 7-1 final score. Both starting pitchers pitched very well.
