The Miami Bears have played well under new Manager Wanderly Ramirez. Ramirez took over mid season and injected great energy into the squad. Pitcher Dave Jimminian "Dr K" has been lights out this season and will make the Bears a tough team to beat in the playoffs. Gabriel Rodriguez, JB Reagan and Bernie Medina all hit over .400 this season.

#2 Miami New Realty (7-3-2)
#2 seed American League

This was Miami New Realty's 1st season in the league, but this team is well established. After great success in other local leagues, Manager Wilder Thorndike decided to bring this talented team to AUBL Miami. A veteran team with solid pitching, Miami New Realty has played very well this season, facing many of the top teams. Offensively, it is a balanced attack with 10 players hitting over .300 and 5 players hitting over .500. Carlos Martinez was very impressive, hitting .458 with 3 HR's and 10 RBI's in only 6 games!

The Miami Storm have been a solid team for several seasons. The pitching staff is very impressive. 4 pitchers all throwing 85+ mph include Scotty Berman, Angel Morales, Aldo Morales and Antony Bello. Chris Wilmoth, Andy Celaya and Nick Silva and Adrian Fajin lead a very stout offense with homerun power.

Dade Diamondbacks (7-4-1)
#4 seed American League

The Dade Diamondbacks were 1 game from winning a 2nd championship last season, eventually losing in game 3 of the finals to the Coral Gables A's. After a slow start, The team came together mid season and is now playing very well. Pitching duties this season have been split between Tim Karkatselos, Matthew Chitwood and Elan Bustamonte. All 3 have pitched very well, but only Matthew Chitwood will be available for playoff action (Karkatselos only played 2 games, Bustamonte is injured). Humberto Valor (.529 AVG) and Daniel Oliveri (.400 AVG) lead the offense. 7 players are hitting .300 or better.

After a sluggish 2-6 start, The South Florida Reds have reeled off 4 straight wins, including a walk-off thriller last Sunday 11/26/17 vs The Boca Red Sox. Solid pitching and defense, along with timely hitting make the South Florida Reds tough to beat. Veterans Jimmy Efre and Macho Velez lead the team offensively.

#3 seed National League

Team Puerto Rico features a high powered offense, with 9 players hitting over .300 this season. Manager Sammy Camacho and Amaury Drago are both crafty pitchers that keep their opponents off balanced. Team Puerto Rico has played well vs top notch competition this season.

Both The South Florida Reds and team Puerto Rico have experienced, battle tested rosters that are built for playoff competition. This game will be exciting to watch!

Manager Jose Fernandez has built another great roster this season, with many Dominican born players. Jose Solano is a superstar who has hit for the cycle before. Luis Manon and Warlyn Guzman hit over .500 this season. The Orioles have several hard throwing pitcher prospects as well.

Boca Red Sox (8-4-0)
#2 seed National League

The Boca Red Sox feature a balanced attack, with 10 players hitting over .300 this season. Endy Acevedo is tied for the league lead in HR's with 3. Manager Eric Lyon has worked hard this season to keep his roster consistent, facing 2 double headers late in the season. Pitchers Chris Snevel and Brian Neal have shouldered most of the load, combining for 63 innings and 73 K's. The Red Sox are experienced and will be tough to beat, coming in as the #2 seed.

The 2 time champion West Kendall Nationals struggled to find their identity early on this season. After 1 run losses to The Coral Gables A's and New Miami Realty, The Nats finished 4-1-1 in their last 6 games. pitching has always been strong for The Nationals. Manager Eric Berkowitz and Tony Cash have combined to pitch 68 innings, striking out 89 batters combined. Former Major Leaguer Henderson Alvarez pitched in 1 game as well. The offense is always tough, with Tony Cash, Ivan Asencion, Phil Roy and Dante Albert leading the charge.

Boer Miami (7-4-1)
#3 seed American League

Boer Miami has been a perennial power in AUBL Miami for several seasons. Having been league runner-up twice, Manager Silvio Silva Jr hopes this will be their 1st championship season. Boer Miami always boasts one of the top pitching staffs in the league. Several former Boer players are currently playing professionally. Guillermo Moscoso and Horatio Acosta pitched for Colombia in the World Baseball Classic. MVP candidate Yuniel Cabrera has been dominant (.639 AVG, 3 HR, 16 RBI).

The South Broward Mets are led offensively by Dan Lozinsky and Cameron Dash. Andrew Pierson is a tough lefty pitcher with a unique delivery. Manager Scott Medina has confidence in his team and likes how his team is playing going into the playoffs.

Coral Gables A's (10-2-0)
#1 seed National League

The Coral Gables A's are the reigning champs. The A's are well respected nationwide as one of the top tournament teams in the country. This team is built with pitching, defense and timely hitting. Alex Arteaga and Willy Mizrahi are 2 of the top pitchers in the league as a 1-2 punch. Sheehan Planas-Arteaga leads the team in hitting (.600 AVG, 2 HR, 11 RBI). The A's also added former league MVP, former homerun champion and 3 time league champion Yerandy Martinez this season. It will be difficult to unseat the A's as champs.

Manager Vlad Valdez has put together an impressive roster for the Dade Vipers' 1st season in AUBL Miami. Ruben Cabrera leads a potent offense, hitting .441 this season. Mario Mendoza has pitched several complete games, with multiple 10 K performances.

South Dade Toyota Braves (11-0-1)
#1 seed American League

The South Dade Toyota Braves have always been a top team in AUBL Miami, but this season has been their finest to date. Marco Pereira and Franklin Gonzalez lead the team offensively with very impressive numbers (Pereira .656 AVG, 1 HR, 17 RBI, Gonzalez .645 AVG, 19 RBI). 7 players are hitting over .400. The Braves have earned their #1 seed this season with top pitching and devastating hitting.

The South Florida Sox are a scrappy team that always plays hard for their Manager Marlon Rodriguez. Mark McGinnity leads the team with a .611 AVG. 6 players are hitting over .300. Mcginnity also leads the pitching staff with 22 IP and 16 K's.

Public Safety USA Blue (6-5-1)

Public Safety USA Blue (formerly Las Aguilas) has played well this season. Roger Villalonga leads the pitching staff with 40.1 IP, 34 K's, and a 3.35 ERA. Cesar Ramirez and Alex Gonzalez are both hitting over .400. 6 players are hitting over .300. Public Safety USA Blue is a young team looking to beat The Sox for a 2nd time this season.
